Joyce Smith Cole,
CFP
President and Founder

Joyce's talent for client communication, managing finances, and ethics (putting the clients first) has informed her years in the practice and earned her the fellowship and stature as an elite adviser in the financial services industry. The family  firm she created in 1996 serves clients from all walks of life- from the high net worth senior citizen planning for the transfer of their wealth to their heirs to the aspiring  young professional saving for their first house and starting a family. She can communicate clearly and understandably to those interested in sharing her years of experience in managing finances. She often finds herself discussing and coaching clients on lifestyle issues and work issues as they affect the client's financial well-being in the present and future.

She earned her designations as a Certified Financial Planner
TM and a licensed NAPFA member in 1996. A reader, a thinker, and an analyst, Joyce's  specialty is securities portfolio allocation, taxation and cash flow management. In addition to managing JCFA and serving her financial planning clients, Joyce has lectured and taught pro bono and honoraria for many organizations on financial literacy. Her efforts and advocacy for many years have promoted socially conscious investing in the industry.

Membership: FPA (Financial Planning, Association), FPA-NENY (Financial Planning Association  of Northeastern New York), NAPFATM (National Association for Personal Financial Advisors). Joyce holds the Certified Financial Planner(CFP) designation.

With experience as a securities broker and employee benefits consultant at Lincoln Investment Planning and Lincoln Benefits Group, and a real estate agent  at Helmsley-Greenfield, Inc. in Philadelphia, she has built a strong network of professionals with varying specialties.
My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit.
He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition.
- Indira Gandhi, World Leader

This enables her to access these contacts on behalf of her clients when they have problems to solve. Joyce considers herself the financial liaison (or quarterback) for her clients. She likes to be  a leader in any endeavor she undertakes always teaching, mentoring, and coaching to help others to strive for their best. Her academic and early career  training in market research has made her a critical thinker, reader and experienced researcher  and analyst of trends and events that affect her clients' investment portfolios.

She has been active in planning and zoning issues in both Philadelphia and the Adirondack Park, and also has been  an early and ardent advocate of environmental issues, recycling and animal rights programs. In her personal life, Joyce is a parent of three successful grown children and grandmother of eight grandchildren. She pursues an active equestrian life and works with her horses using the Parelli method.
